The Mission of the Vineyard Haven Harbor Cultural District publicly promotes and celebrates the authentic artisan culture of our historic harbor and town. Through community events and opportunities, the VHHCD helps support a vibrant space for local citizens, artists and trades people to share our town's historic and contemporary passions with visitors from around the world.

Harboring Yesterday, supporting today.

The Vineyard Haven Harbor Cultural District was formed in 2012 by a group of artists and visionaries, who in collaboration with the Town of Tisbury and local businesses, work together to increase community engagement with arts and culture.

By supporting and promoting our local artisans and tradespeople, the VHHCD aims to cultivate a healthy and inspiring environment, thereby increasing economic activity as well as rich livability, for all residents.

Through the promotion and support of lower income creatives, we help maintain and expand the allure Vineyard Haven Harbor has long celebrated. By developing educational opportunities within the cultural district, the VHHCD attracts people with a desire to learn and contribute to our ever-growing community.

The VHHCD is currently a Massachusetts Cultural District program sponsored by the town of Tisbury. The Vineyard Haven Harbor Cultural District balances the days of old with the realities of today.
