The Film Society runs the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center at the Tisbury Marketplace (Vineyard Haven), consisting of the Marilyn Meyerhoff Theatre, a 176 stadium seat configured DCI cinema and stage, the Feldman Family Artspace, and offices to carry out its programming and educational mission. The Film Society presents over 200 feature and short films, over 600 programs, to more than 30,000 patrons annually at the MV Film Center.

The Martha’s Vineyard Museum (MVM) is a century-old historical and cultural museum that collects art, artifacts, oral histories, documents, and photographs that help tell the stories of Martha’s Vineyard from time immemorial to the present. MVM strives to provide a framework for understanding the past in order to create a better future.

The Vineyard Haven Public library offers a wide variety of regular programs and special events for children, young adults and adults, including lectures, academic assistance, performances, films, demonstrations and discussions about timely and fascinating topics, from arts and literature to global studies and more.

Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse is a professional, non-profit theater dedicated to inspiring, enriching and entertaining our diverse island community. The Playhouse operates year-round, offering drama classes for children and adults, along with programs and events in its historic theater. It presents a wide selection of contemporary and classic plays, nurtures and develops new plays through staged readings and workshops, and features music, poetry and art on the intimate Patricia Neal Stage.

Situated in Vineyard Haven Harbor, Gannon and Benjamin Marine Railway is a small, flourishing boatyard whose mission and passion is designing, building, repairing, maintaining, and sailing traditional boats.

Owen Park on upper main street, is a public park known for its gorgeous views of vineyard haven harbor and its public beachfront access. It's a hub for community gatherings, including concerts in the bandstand, and events like First Fridays. It is cherished for its close proximity to the Steamship Authority terminal and downtown Vineyard Haven. Owen Park Beach, located within the park, is known for its calm, shallow waters, making it family-friendly for swimming. Visit the park for picnicking, a swim to the raft, paddleboarding, a swing on the playground or sit and enjoy a spectacular view of boats in the harbor.
