Plein air podium project
Inspired by the plein-air tradition of creating art outdoors, the
VHHCD will create site specific Artmaking Podiums that are
intended to evoke pause, reflection, inspiration, and creation in
response to historic or significant locations chosen throughout the
town of Tisbury’s cultural district. These Podium Style structures
will include all materials needed to draw, write poetry or create
visuals that speak to the visitors’ experience of that place.

Lagoon pond at Tisbury Market place
A scenic view of lagoon pond from the little park at Tisbury market place. Enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants, enjoy a stroll through the gallery at the MV film center and be inspired by the serene view of the brackish pond. Home of the original Ferry Boat Island where ships used to travel in via beach road(before it was converted into a landmass and into a road this part of the island was still connected to the open ocean) and take port in the secured pond area. This location is a place of unique island history and contemporary beauty.
